Autumn Meditations

As I upload this I listen to “Pass them by” by Agnes Obel.

When was the last time I uploaded something without editing? Without curating? Without thinking of the red thread or the storyline? Without thinking of a schedule or a plan, or… worst of all, something that’s completely random and does not fall into the boundaries of my brand? All these thoughts, in theory, helpful to build a body of work on the internet, have had me oppressed when it comes to creating. I’m a mum, I have a full-time job, I take care of my whole family. At times it feels like I breathe through a straw. It’s close to impossible to develop a body of work with the little time and energy I find myself with.

So on Sunday I reached for my camera and took my toddler’s tantrum into nature, where it cured itself as soon as he started imagining worlds inside the robust forest that my garden has turned into. There’s nothing I find more therapeutic than observing nature through the lens of my camera. Hence, this is the result of my autumn meditations. I didn’t overthink them. I let the website's gallery decide the order for me. I didn’t edit the colors or the frame. I just breathed and observed.
